Yoga for Cancer

I am happy to have recently finished my training with Jenni Stone to become a specialist yoga teacher for people experiencing cancer and beyond. Yoga brings a plethora of benefits - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, helping people and their families cope with their treatment, improving their quality of life and empowering them to take back some control of their physical mental and emotional wellbeing. There have been numerous small-scale studies which show that people with a cancer diagnosis who practice yoga have better outcomes both in improved quality of life and better survival rates. If you'd like to have a discovery chat, click here.

Also, I'd like to recommend a book called Cancer as a Wake-up Call. An Oncologist's Integrative Approach to what you can do to become whole again. By M. Laura Nas, MD.

And an app: the Cancer App is a free and easy to use app to help people living with cancer stay in control of their care, appointments, medications and contacts, with relevant, expert information specific to their cancer.

Here's what I've been up to - what about you? - Going to Birch Arising Festival (birch community.com - a retreat hotel with a festival vibe) and experiencing a crystal healing session - Keeping calm amidst GCSEs and A-Levels in the house - Paddleboarding and wild swimming in the river - Going to Hampton Court Palace Music Festival to see Elbow and Crowded House - Playing tennis at Esher Tennis Club, reaching the finals of the Ladies Doubles, and semis of the Mixed - Volunteering for Macmillan at the Hampton Court Flower Show - Watching Sherwood, and DNA Stories with Stacey Dooley - Waiting for the film adaptation of my favourite book of last Summer, "When The Crawdads Sings", featuring my favourite actress Daisy Edgar-Jones. Yay!
