Menopause Workshops

The next workshop is on Sat 18 May 2-5pm at Colets Health & Fitness:

WHOA! CALM THE RAGE AND IRRITABILITY!

What is menopause rage and why do we feel so irritable, especially in the perimenopause to menopause stage?  'Menopause Rage' is a relatively modern phrase that describes the intense feelings of irritability and frustration that escalate from 0 to 100, often without warning.

​

Women's Circle followed by Menopause Yoga & Qigong Practice.

​

The style of practice combines hip-, chest- and arm-opening poses to release heat and yin-yang style poses that are held for longer to help release the anger and irritability in our muscles and other tissues.  It includes forward folds with props to reduce stress and calm the mind, and yin yoga poses to rebalance the kidney, bladder, liver and spleen, which are linked to emotions such as fear, anger and fire.  We'll finish with a restorative pose, relaxation and poetry to surrender to this natural process of change.

What to Expect

This retreat is all about putting you first.  No responsibilities or looking after parents or children.  Nothing to do, nothing to fix. Simply relax, be nourished with delicious food curated by Gita, our Retreat Chef, chill by the pool and enjoy daily mindful movement and meditation.

​

Explore the local area - we'll take a trip to nearby Vejer de la Frontera for an evening meal and stroll, and a day out to Bolonia to admire the sand dunes, or simply stay by the pool and read a book. There are plenty of areas to be quiet and enjoy nature, or communal areas to chat.

​

Everyone is gifted an Ayurvedic massage and a complimentary Five Element Health Assessment and you can take up optional extras such as horse riding, or additional holistic treatment.

​

We'll start the day with an energising movement practice, followed by brunch.  A little while later, we'll gather for a talk, workshop or women's circle.  The afternoon is yours to relax by the pool, before we gather together for a rejuvenating practice and supper.
