On this fabulous retreat, you'll learn plenty of holistic approaches to this phase of life called the menopause, so that you can meet any challenges with ease and a positive mindset. It's your turn to live well, sleep well and love life.
Learn, explore & share
Gain key insights into the cause of your symptoms - brain fog, hot flushes, mood swings, lack of joy etc - and explore your natural creativity through enjoyable holistic practices such as yoga, qigong and ayurvedic massage. On retreat, you'll have the opportunity to meet other women at the same phase of life, be that peri-menopause or post menopause, "The Second Spring". Take a break from cooking and allow us to look after you with delicious, nourishing food, and lifestyle top tips for menopause.
Leisure time...
In your free time, lie back and receive an Ayurvedic or Thai Yoga Massage, go on a horse riding safari or join an excursion to the sand dunes in Bolonia, the nearby sculpture park or go horse-riding along the beach. We'll take a trip to nearby Vejer de la Frontera for an evening meal and stroll, and to the beach for sea, sun and sangria. Or simply stay by the pool and read a book. There are plenty of areas to be quiet and enjoy nature, or communal areas to chat. It's good to meno - pause.
A Five Element Approach
From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, the menopause can cause an imbalance in the Kidney, Liver and Spleen meridians and organs, that may manifest as hot flushes, irritability, brain fog, insomnia, anxiety, and dehydration internally and externally. The Heart meridian can also be affected by insomnia, empty nest syndrome and a lack of joy.
When in balance, this natural phase of life can be positive, as it's a time to put ourselves first and express our true feelings; we may also enjoy a surge of creativity and spiritual connection.

El Refugio Reyes is the main house with swimming pool, dining, basketball court and yoga deck. There are plenty to spaces to chill out - sofas and table inside the main casa, the garden deck with a circle of chairs, the daybed by the pool
